Just for Fun! Happy Halloween!

I know, I'm a little late! I only just remember it was hallowen aroundf 11:30 and I was like, huh, I should put up SOMETHING. So here's a super quick arrangement of the spooky ghost song "Have You Seen The Ghost Of John?" I only had like 40 minutes to work on it so it's not SUPER amazing, but it's kinda fun to play. :)

An update and some small arrangements

Howdy all! Hope you guys are doing well and PRAC-TI-CING! hehe

So it's been a little slow as far as new updates as I'm trying to get the archive uploaded on kabukibear.com. It's extremely time consuming; I have to do them one by one, make mp3's for the player, etc. I've made some great progress but, for completion's sake, I have a few beginner/easy tabs that I haven't uploaded, so I figured now would be as good a time as any.

Also, as I move this music over I am editing them, sometimes a little, sometimes quite a bit. For example I changed the intro to Wind Scene from Chrono Trigger. Anyway, I'm still chugging along. I'm at the letter "F" in my arrangements but since I've finished the Final Fantasy series, it should move a little faster.

Largo from Handel's "Xerxes"

Staying with the classical, here's my arrangement of the famous "Largo," by George Fredric Handel. The piece is the opening aria of the opera, and has Xerxes I of Persia, singing about how lovely and comfortable the shade of a plane tree is. So I wanted the artwork created in Midjourney to reflect that. Took a lot of tinkering, but I like the result of both the arrangement and the artwork. It's simple, but I felt like there was some beauty in that simplicity.

A Post About Thumbnail Art

I'm not sure if anyone out there is interested about this aspect of the videos, but the artwork on the newest videos are all being done by AI. I'm sure most of you have heard about the explosion of AI art in the past few months, and the public has been given access to very fun and powerful tools to bring your ideas to life!

Since half the fun of making these videos is coming up with the thumbnail, this is just a fun post showing the process of creating the thumbnail for the most recent video I've made, that hasn't been uploaded yet. I wrote a little something explaining the pics, if you're interested.

Waltz 19 in A Minor by Chopin

Tab Highlight: Chromatic Fantasy from Castlevania II

Talk about a finger workout! This is actually from a piece called Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue in D Minor by JS Bach, so you know you can expect some finger pyrotechnics! Great for studying scales and arpeggios in keys you might not be super comfortable in as it modulates all over the place.

New Website Is Live!

So https://kabukibear.com/ is live! I will begin posting new tabs/sheets/guitarpro files there, rather than linking to the archive. You can just log in with your patreon info and automatically access all the files and you can even practice with the built in tab player! I'm still migrating the stuff that's already in the archive to the new site so not everything is there yet, but new tabs will go here from now on and I will slowly get all the old ones over as well.

So go ahead and log in and play around with the site! This was all to make the experience easier and more helpful for all of you, so I hope you enjoy it!
